frequently asked questions

  • Where are you located? Do you take requests outside of Metro Vancouver?
I currently work from my home studio based in Mount Pleasant / Riley Park area of Vancouver, BC. If you are able to drop off your fresh bouquet and / or pick up your commission from me, I would be love to work with you. Even if your event occurred outside of Metro Vancouver, as long as you are able to transport the florals to me within 2 to 5 days, I am happy to work out the logistics with you. Unfortunately, I am not taking any mailed fresh bouquets. I will provide my building address once you are booked.
  • How much will floral preservation and keepsake creation service cost?
Every commission is different. The number, size and style of items to be created and flowers used or sourced will impact the final cost. A base commission is applied and range between $375 and $425 depending on the preservation style used. The cost is for one size-specific commission item (either a 14x18" shadow box or a 11x14" pressed item) and inclusive of the time for processing, drying/pressing, design, consultations, revisions, and material costs. For 2023 Pricing, visit this page. For commissions requiring material (eg special style of frame) that I do not hold, additional costs may apply. It is best to send in an inquiry so I can understand your requests.
  • Do you take last minute fresh bouquet preservations?
Booking early prior to your event is your best guarantee to have your fresh bouquet preserved by me. However, if you decide post-event to have your bouquet preserved, the best way to reach out is to email me or send me a message on Instagram to inquire about availability.
  • Can you create keepsakes from pre-dried flowers and bouquets?
Of course! More and more folks have approached me to turn their bouquet or floral items that they have dried themselves and turn into keepsake items. Depending on the state of already dried floral items, I will use what you have to create the items. I do not dye or restore colour. If it's important to include colour, I often (for a fee and after confirmation with clients) replace flowers that might be too frail or dull in colour to be used. The only thing to keep in mind is floral items dried prior to me receiving them cannot be pressed.
  • What frame options do I have?
I have a number of frame style and material options for pressed items on hand to choose from. From standard to floating (double glass) frames, style can be using gold metal frame, solid oak or driftwood white frames. For shadow boxes to encase dried bouquet to keep their natural shape, I only carry white framed shadow boxes. There are a few sizes to choose from for add on pieces. I am also always happy to source other frame options. Inquire to find out more.
  • I have my own shadow box / frame or specific design in mind. Would you be able to fit this request?
Absolutely! I love getting creative and sourcig items that fit the design of the commission. Depending on what needs to be sourced, it will impact the quote for the preservation and commission.
  • I have items I'll like to add to the commissioned piece. Would you be able to include them in the piece?
Yes! I have added charms, lace from wedding dresses, photos, ribbons, boutonniere into commission pieces that use the shadowbox.
  • How long does it take until my commission is complete?
From drop off to final pick up/delivery, the full process will take up to 12 - 16 weeks. If you require your items earlier, we can discuss an earlier delivery timeline. Read through the How it works above to learn about the step by step process.
